Louisiana Energy Data & Applications
Interactive Applications

Available Data Resources
The LSU Energy Institute develops and maintains energy-related datasets, analytical tools, and interactive applications. These resources cover energy production and consumption, infrastructure, markets, economic activity, and environmental conditions in Louisiana. Data are compiled from state, federal, and other sources, with supporting documentation where available.
Louisiana's Energy Data Program
Under Louisiana Revised Statute 36:358, as amended by Act 331 of 2026, the Louisiana Office of Energy works with the LSU Energy Institute on a statewide energy data and information program. The program covers energy resources, production, demand, technology, and related economic and statistical information.
The Louisiana Geological Survey is part of the Institute under R.S. 17:1492. It conducts geological mapping, prepares resource inventories and hazard assessments, and manages geological and GIS data. These activities complement the Institute's energy data and research programs.
