It examines supply, demand, infrastructure, and policy dynamics to inform industry, policymakers, and stakeholders about the region’s evolving energy landscape and future opportunities.

Hosted by the LSU Center for Energy Studies and the Future Use of Energy in Louisiana (FUEL), the Louisiana Energy Research Symposium aims to bring together energy researchers, companies, policymakers, and regulators from across the state and across disciplines. Participating organizations include the Louisiana Department of Energy and Natural Resources, the Louisiana Board of Regents, Louisiana Tech University, Southern University, Tulane University, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Representatives from all fields are welcome and encouraged to attend. Out-of-state stakeholders whose work focuses on energy topics relevant to the Gulf Coast region and Louisiana are also invited to participate.
Energy Fundamentals is a weeklong course designed to provide an overview of the U.S. energy sector, with a focus on Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. Participants will be exposed to the history, science, and economics of producing and consuming energy.
