Matthew O'Malley is a research associate at the LSU Energy Institute. His work involves analyzing and forecasting trends in oil & gas activity in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. He also develops web-based applications that communicate research findings with key stakeholders.
His research interests include financial economics, forecasting, and institutional design.
Mr. O'Malley received his M.S. (2023) in Economics from the University of Wyoming and is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics from the same.
